《摩斯探長前傳》第二季于2014年3-4月在英國ITV播出，新一季由《寶藏》、《夜曲》、《搖擺》、《永無鄉(xiāng)》四個故事組成，單集片長為90分鐘，Russell Lewis擔任編劇，Shaun Evans繼續(xù)出演主角警探摩斯，摩斯探長系列小說原作者Colin Dexter依舊為本劇擔任顧問。四集導演分別由Kristoffer Nyholm、Giuseppe Capotondi、Andy Wilson、Geoffrey Sax擔任。
